Summary
ScreenForge is developed and provided by Eddy Boscolo Manera. This policy is effective from July 17, 2026.
Information handled by the Mac app
ScreenForge processes screen frames, system audio, microphone audio, camera frames and video files only on your Mac, and only when you choose features that need them.
- Recordings and exports are saved to locations you choose through the standard macOS file panels.
- Imported videos remain in the locations you selected.
- ScreenForge does not upload recordings, screenshots, audio, camera frames, filenames or file metadata.
- ScreenForge does not create a user account or persistent online identifier.
- ScreenForge does not contain third-party advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.
Temporary staging files may be created locally while a recording or export is finalized safely. They are used to avoid corrupting or overwriting an existing file and are removed after a successful commit. If a commit fails, a recoverable local copy may be retained so your recording is not lost.
System permissions
Screen & System Audio Recording
Required to capture a display, a selected region and Mac audio. macOS controls this permission in System Settings.
Microphone
Requested only when you select an audio mode that includes a microphone.
Camera
Requested only when you enable the webcam overlay. Camera frames are composited locally into your recording.
User-selected files
The App Sandbox permits ScreenForge to read or write only files and folders you explicitly select, plus its own temporary application data.
Data sharing, tracking and retention
The app does not transmit personal data, so there is no app data to sell, share with data brokers, use for cross-app tracking or retain on a ScreenForge server. You control the lifetime of your recordings and exported files using Finder.
This website
screenforge.it uses no cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, fingerprinting or third-party fonts. The web server may create short-lived technical access and error logs containing standard request information such as IP address, timestamp, requested path, browser user-agent and response status. These logs are used only for reliability, abuse prevention and security troubleshooting, are not combined with app activity and are not used to profile visitors.
Links to the Mac App Store are served by Apple. If you follow them, Apple’s own terms and privacy policy apply.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights relating to personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection. Because ScreenForge does not receive information from the app and this website has no account system, we normally cannot associate a website request with a specific person. You may still contact us about a privacy question or request.
Children
ScreenForge is a general-purpose productivity utility. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.
Changes
If ScreenForge’s data practices change, this page will be updated before the changed behavior is released. Material changes will be reflected in the App Store privacy information where required.
